I was taking Tommy to the doctor's office this morning, and on the way I saw two egrets flying overhead. Now for most, that wouldn't be a big deal. Thing is, I live in southwest Ohio, and it is April. It is still very cool out.
As most who live in this area, we have notice one lone egret living near the creek in Collinsville. I don't know if one of the pair I have been seeing lately is the same lonely fellow,
but I would like to think so. Even if not, think of this.....
There are two egrets in Ohio. They live here all year round, as I have seen them together
occasionally. Which one of those egrets, do you suppose, said to the other, "Hey, let's head to Ohio, I hear it's great this time of year."? The funnier thing is, the other egret followed. I'm not an egret etiquette specialist, but I wonder if an argument ensued or the other egret just said.."Okay, sounds great!".
Thing is, the second egret followed the first egret to Ohio. I want to be a friend or mate like that. Loyalty: faithful to one's country, friends, ideas; showing such faithfulness.
